Retrouvaille  is being offered within the Archdiocese of Newark  by the Office of Family Life Ministries. The program attempts to provide very practical assistance to couples who have made the decision to "work" at restoring their marriages. Couples are helped to recognize the need for God in all aspects of their healing and forgiveness. It is imperative, however, that both parties share the desire to improve the relationship.

Retrouvaille is a three-stage program. . For program and fee information, please contact the Office of Family Life Ministries at 973-497-4327. Retrouvaille can be a lifeline of hope and healing for struggling marriages.

Meetings:  The Rosarians celebrate Mass in a group on the first Sunday of each month at 10:00 AM. At the death of a member, the group meets at the funeral home and forms a cortege at the funeral Mass.

All women of the parish are cordially invited to attend this informational meeting.

The Cursillo movement is present in 60 countries, with a following of 5 million.   The first Cursillo was held on January 7 - 10, 1949 on the island of Majorca.

Purpose:   The Padre Pio Group focuses on reconciliation within the family, the church and between peoples and countries.
Meetings:   Generally, on the First Friday of the month in the church for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 7:30 PM.  Hospitality immediately following in the lower church hall.

As  spiritual children of Padre Pio we feel  very blessed. Please join us.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place the First Friday of the month beginning at 8:30 AM and concludes at 8:30 AM Saturday morning.    Anyone can come at anytime during the 24 hours.     If you have a scheduled hour and cannot make it, please notify your coordinator or obtain a substitute to take your place.

This Wednesday, July 16th and the  third Wednesday of every month we celebrate a Medjugorje Peace Mass here at Sacred Heart Church. Recitation of the Rosary begins at 7:30 PM followed by Mass and Benediction, ending at 9:00 PM.

"Dear Children! Also today, with great joy in my heart, I call you to follow me and listen to my messages. Be joyful carriers of peace and love in this priceless world. I am with you and I bless you all with my Son, Jesus, the King of Peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Sacred Heart offers two bible studies each week focusing on the Gospel of Matthew. The evening Bible study takes place on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 PM, and the Wednesday morning Bible study meets weekly following the 8:00 AM Mass.

Both groups  meet in the Religious Ed Office, 15 Forest Place. Bibles will be provided and no knowledge of the bible is necessary. All are invited--open to men and women.

Purpose: Support charitable organizations, family life, church activities, vocations to the priesthood and civil activities, as well as to worship God and honor the Bless Virgin Mary.
Meetings are held at the Knights of Columbus Hall,
235 Rochelle Avenue on the first and third Mondays of each month at 8:30 PM.
Existing members and new members are welcome.

The Adult Choir provides music at parish liturgies and leads the congregation in singing.
We are in need of all voices, but especially men's voices.  
Meetings:     Practice Sessions are held in the church on Thursday evening, 7:00 - 8:00 PM.
We sing at the 10:00 AM mass on Sunday.

Children’s choir:     Provides an opportunity for all children in grades 3 thru 8 to participate in parish liturgies.  
Participation enables children to learn about their faith and to play a role in helping to lead worship music at parish liturgies.
Meetings:     Practice sessions are held in the church.
